About Speaker

Vanessa is from San Antonio, Texas, where she obtained her LVT certification from Palo Alto College in 2008. She then worked in general practice, shelter medicine, specialty, and emergency medicine. Vanessa became the lead dental technician at Mission Vet Specialty and Emergency There, she reignited her love for dentistry. Vanessa went on to obtain her veterinary technician specialty (VTS) in Dentistry in 2018. She has had the opportunity to lecture to over 250 technicians and host and participate in many hands-on labs. In 2020, Vanessa created VTS Dentistry Relief Services. Through her business, Vanessa offers relief business to local clinics who are short staffed and/or their staff needs additional training in dentistry. She currently lives with her boyfriend, Drew, and their three dogs, Titus (Lab mix), Tara (Shep mix), and Leora (Husky mix). Vanessa loves bringing people together to learn new skills through laughter and fun!
